This pastel painting was inspired by a photo taken by a photographer who lives in the UK. She says about her photo, "There is a story to these trees...a very eerie feeling that morning. These are on an old unused military airbase and radar centre from the war. Whatever i did with my camera around those trees and no matter what setting i chose this is what i got. Tried to sharpen it up a little and this is as much as i could do.The mist was swirling around these trees too so it all added to the atmosphere. A very spooky place indeed, yet not at all frightening." As I painted these trees I felt the spooky vibe, so, it is called, "Trees in Isolation...Eerie!"
This is an original creation done on Artagain paper for pastels using Pitt Pastels by Faber-Castell of Germany. The frame size needed for this painting is 11x14 which includes the mat. Unframed paintings are well protected in an archival sealed bag. The size of the painting itself is 8"x 10". Paintings come with a black archival beveled mat. Pastel paintings cannot touch glass in a frame so a mat is necessary for framing.
#Note: The colors on your monitor may be slightly different from the painting because of your color settings on your device.
This piece of art has been treated with a "Fine Art" fixative spray which sets the pastels, but the pastel will smear if you touch the painting. This painting comes attached to an archival backing necessary for pastel paintings. The artwork is shipped with foam core on top to protect the painting in transit. One further note from the artist, "I hope you will enjoy this painting as much as I did while creating it."
