"Fancy Design Crochet Afghan". The pattern I used for this afghan actually came from Annie's Yarns. I love the design. Sometimes it looks like a butterfly to me and sometimes I see a flower. It does resemble the popular pattern from the 50's that is called pineapple. My granddaughter loves it and so does my daughter and so do I so I am thinking it is good for all ages. This is a large afghan that would easily cover a twin bed or over the back of a sofa. I love the look of crocheted blankets thrown over the back of large chairs or sofas. I think it gives the room a warm feeling and it is always handy on those chilly days. My granddaughter pulls out the afghan I made her for Christmas when she wants to wrap up and snuggle in especially if she is not feeling well. Crocheted blankets are very inviting and useful.
About this afghan. The yarn is by Canon and the afghan is hand crocheted. I have thrown it in the washer and dryer before shipping. I took it out of the dryer, inspected it and then put it in the shipping box to keep while it waits for shipping. I do have a house cat. I try to keep him away from the things I crochet and he is short haired black cat but he is a cat. If you have severe allergies I cannot guarantee this will not bother you...although, being that it goes directly from the dryer into the shipping box I don't see how it can be a problem. But, just wanted to let you know up front about my cat.
There is an option for "Custom Colors" to have this afghan made with your color choices. I have included color combinations to consider. Any color choices you want will work. It can be all one color with a darker version to outline the squares or colors for each row. It takes me 3 weeks to complete this afghan. However, the one listed, "Blue and White Afghan" is ready to ship next day.

Please refer to my previous review! In Sum, Penny Lee is a wonderful artist and full of passion for creating afghans for me. The communication was good. Penny put my interest as her first priority. She provided me suggestions on yarns colors, and respected my choice. The afghans are beautiful in terms of patterns, colors and quality. I would love to have other crochet items made by Penny Lee in future. Thanks Penny Lee!
